Software Reviews of Corel Photo Album 7 DeluxeCustomer Review: Corel Photo Album 7 Delux Is Easier Than You THink! Summary: 4 StarsPhoto Album 7 is a nice program if you want to improve speed at which you compile images. Compared to other very expensive software - this one does quite effeciently with little effort.
Photo Album is a basic tool to quickly and efficiently change, alter, or set your images for various reasons in many ways that look very profesional. I like the clarity and user friendly buttonsand controls it has.
When launching the program it does tend to move along at its own pace and one criticism from me would be that it should ask before doing. Organizing folders and files - sometimes is a personal thing. When you are dealing with a large number of photos it becomes difficult to search through them all.
Using the "Quick Fix" feature to see how they would be altered. Whilr the Quick Fix feature did deepen some of the washed out colors for clarity and more subtle yet needed changes could be seen
The makeover tools are preset tools that will help portraits look better and work really well in this program. The Blemish tool will place a skin tone dab of color over an area (presumably a skin defect like pimples or wrinkles) with a blemish. The toothbrush can be used to whiten areas and is not restricted to just teeth. The suntan will darken an area to give it a deeper tone. From a cursory test run these tools did function decently.
You also have the ability to create greeting cards scrapbooks, calendars and more.
Good value for the price. There are enough basic feature to keep you entertained and it is very easy to follow andoperate. I can even see younger kids getting into this very well as well as creative adults.
Customer Review: Simple and Easy Photo Software Summary: 3 StarsCorel Photo Album 7 has a simple interface and is easy to use. At first glance, it seems to look a little like the Adobe Photoshop organizer but in a much simpler form. There aren't very many options to work with, but enough to get the main things done. You can enter text, but can only position it one of 3 ways, as there is no text box that can be moved around. Since there are not many options to work with, the program opens very quickly and easily, but you keep seeing options to purchase Paint Shop Pro. In relation to Adobe PhotoShop Elements, there is no contest, but for the person who just wants a quick way to edit and work with photos, this is the software for you. Highly recommended for beginners to photo editing.
Customer Review: Excellent choice! Summary: 5 StarsSometimes I feel like I'm a lone warrior in the Stop Adobe Software from Messing with Our Heads Movement. But once again, here is a product from Corel that works far more intuitively and infinitely more efficiently than PhotoShop Elements!
Corel Photo Album 7 Deluxe has become my default photo editor, and I've tried a number of them (including the stuff from Adobe). It's ability to clean up and present photographs is far superior than anything else I've used, even being easier for the basic stuff that I used to do in the embedded photo editor within Vista.
Thank you, Corel, you've done it again!
Customer Review: this used to be a great product Summary: 2 StarsI am a user of Photo Album 4, 5 , 6, and now for a brief time, 7. Photo Album used to be a great product. I especially like the key words feature that it used to have. It was also excellent at touching up photos. While the photo touch-feature is still there, version 7 is a horrible departure from the great product that existed in the past. The user interface has been made much more difficult to use and the key words feature is now gone. I cannot recommend version 7 of this product as there are many other products out there that are likely better than Photo Album 7.
Customer Review: Effective (and not too complex) software for photo projects Summary: 3 StarsI had an ancient version of Corel Photo (version 1.1!) that I used and liked because it was SIMPLE. It was time to upgrade, so I went with the latest version of Corel Photo Album and have been pretty happy because I am still able to do basic projects without having a Ph.D. in software.
To be honest, I still prefer my ancient version - my biggest complaint with current software is that it all has more bells/whistles than I need - but I'm happy enough this version to spend the time learning it (with the hopes it will serve me for the next 10 years!).
